Repurposing buildings has numerous benefits:

    Deconstructing homes creates large amounts of waste;
    Repurposing a pre-existing home is more environmentally friendly than building new;
    Avoid lengthy build times;
    Affordable solution to owning a home.

The images above illustrate a more challenging move that we overcame. The city of Cold Lake purchased this house because they had given permission for it to be built in an improper area and the land was giving way, which causing concern about the house falling into the lake. The city then decided to relocate it to the Cold Lake Airport as a residence for pilots. This move was challenging due to its size: 48 feet wide, with the additional difficulty of it being two stories high. This meant that the building required utility line lifts. Large amounts of rain made moving the building difficult, but the move had to happen that day due to the coordination with the utility companies. The pressure was on, because with the mud there was only one shot at driving it in. Our talented driver saved the day and got it in on the first try.
